Such a waste of life

We arrange appointments,
send delegations
visit EU ambassadors
and UN representatives.
We take part in rallies
hold exhibitions on the life that was.
We run petitions and count the signatures
we try to prove the injustice
and claim what belongs to us
in the Dreamland of our lives.

We then visit lawyers
check the legislation
take count of our created dreamland
and try to crop and divide it
between the lawful owners
consuming energy, time, emotion;
scarce resources granted
to cherish and use wisely
on our earthly paradises.

Why can't we just love and be?
